We must not compromise our current and future ability to thrive. Generations long after us will continue to need healthy land for growing food. The environment is complex and connected to many elements of society, including our food. By practicing sustainability, we are dedicated to looking at the earth through a long-term lens.
How Johnson County Local Food Council Works Towards Environmental Sustainability
The Johnson County Local Food Council seeks to motivate others in reducing environmental impact by demonstrating the positive effects of supporting local farms and reducing food waste. We want to be known as a resource for reliable information that teaches everyone (farmers and consumers) about the importance of protecting our environment.
