Outreach & Education
What is Outreach & Education?
Fostering connection and collaboration within a food system is one of the primary benefits of having a food council. Through outreach and education on topics such as nutrition, gardening and agriculture, food safety, and more, the food council can serve as a means through which community members with diverse interests and expertise can connect through a common purpose.
Why is Outreach & Education important?
Having access to food education and resources empowers individuals to make informed choices that support their health, community, and environment.
